At STEPS, we believe there's no such thing as an "average Joe". We specialize in:

Care

You are not anonymous. Your specialized program will be coordinated and directly overseen by Dr. Irv.

If requested, we will work closely with your "team", be it your doctor or other medical specialist, mental health professional, or coach, to ensure the safest and most comprehensize training approach for you.

Since 1989, our training methods have been based on the most current scientific research available. All STEPS trainers are required to hold a certification from one of the two "gold standard" certifying bodies, the American College of Sports Medicine or the National Strength and Conditioning Association. In addition, they must go through our own rigorous Apprenticeship program before they can train clients at STEPS.

Our comprehensive assessment is your starting point to better health, fitness, and wellness. Knowing your health history and issues, current fitness status, and personal goals, enables us to design a program that best serves your individual needs.

Get a Trainer

Your trainer is your partner in health. Getting to know you helps us to ensure a smooth working relationship with a trainer who not only meets your schedule, but is also a good fit for your personality.

Get Going and Keep Going

At every session, you will receive personalized attention to make sure you are on track with your goals, and exercise and nutrition strategies. As you progress, your program will be updated regularly to ensure continual improvement.

STEPS holds a special place in my heart. I nearly destroyed my body with an eating disorder; I lost bone, muscle, and most of all myself.  Through strength training, I have made my bones denser, my muscles stronger, and my spirit brighter.  I have a second chance at life, and I owe a large part of that to STEPS and my trainer, Irv.
