Exercise of the Week

Biceps curl from high position:

  • Starting position: Set tube or pulley height to a high position. Grasp handle, holding arm straight, facing 90 degrees away from tube attachment or pulley.
  • Perform curl by bringing your fist towards your ear. Do not rotate shoulder forward or move upper arm in any way.
  • Muscles worked: Muscles of the biceps group: brachialis and biceps brachii. This variation causes a greater amount of resistance at the fully contracted position of the muscles by providing a greater angle of pull at that position.
