Exercise of the Week
Squat with medicine ball raise:
- Starting position: Holding medicine ball with both hands, stand with feet slightly wider apart than shoulder width.
- Lower hips by bending knees to about a 90 degree angle while maintaining neutral back position. Simultaneously raise ball to a position in line with torso. Keep head and chest up by looking at ball while performing the squat.
- Muscles worked: Primarily muscles of the quadriceps group, hamstrings, and glutes, with anterior deltoid in the upper body.
